10/12/10 I think that we depend a lot on computers and new technology. I also think that one day we will not have as much as paper products. I believe that we will no longer have newspapers and magazines.
10/13/10 I think that sometimes we don't use our technology for the better. We sometimes use it to bully people or just goof around. I do think that computers are good for us though because we can write research papers and use the internet to look for answers about our research papers.
10/14/10 Tommy and Margie have only been taught by a mechanical teacher that teaches them in their homes. Their parents have only been taught this way as well. the parents think that this is the only way to been taught and the only way to learn. Tommy finds a book that is very old and it talks about how school was hundreds of years ago. Then Margie and Tommy begin to wonder how it would've been like to live and be taught hundreds and hundreds of years ago. Traditional: 1. You met new people. 2. You can make and talk to your friends. 3. Not be stuck in the same room all day. Internet: 1. Look things up 2. Save trees 3. Organized
10/15/10 Critical Thinking- using your brain to come up with more answers then obvious ones. 1. That way everyone has different answers, and it is less boring. 2. The answers the internet gives you have more information.
10/25/10 I think that we should have computers in class. One thing that would benefit from this is that we would have a chance to look stuff up on the internet during class. We also wouldn't have to constantly leave the room to use them. They help us write papers, and look up stuff we don't know
